【Abstract】 The STT(surface tension transfer) welding is a new process application in the near future.High efficiency, low spatter and excellent backing profile is its main character. Here, we have found the best welding parameters after a series of welding procedure qualification test by different welding positions. And now it has been widely used in offshore fabrication, such as the jacket fabrication. It will replace the conventional welding method of root pass welding with SMAW and TIG. The procedure increases working efficiency and reduces productive cost.更多还原
