【Abstract】 With the example of Drainage Basin Environmental Information System of Jiangsu Province, the paper analyses and designs system objectives and principles,system hardware and software environment,system construction,system function etc. It also discusses the system’s application models that are integrated with GIS and the method of integrating the twos. By adopting Client/Server hierarchy, large-scale RDBMS, Geographical Information System software Arc/Info combined with relevant program languages, the system is achieved.
