【Abstract】 Path independence in social choice was studied. The source of path independence in social choice was investigated and Plott′s formalizations of path independence was given. The correlation of various kinds of Plott′s path independence condition was studied. On the basis of this analysis, the correlation of path independence and rational choice function were explored. It was showed that the path independence of social choice could not cause the result that the group rationality should exert in social choice.更多还原
