【Abstract】 Close attention has been paid to the phenomenon that the floor area per dwelling unit is getting larger and larger in China’s urban housing development. How large the floor-space per capita in China’s urban areas should be?This paper discusses the law of growth of dwelling floor-space especially the rigid restriction on dwelling floor-space per capita imposed by land-resource. By making a comparative study on the dwelling floor-space per capita in China and several affluent coutries, the paper finally proposes an appropriate index of dwelling floor-space per capita in China’s urban areas in the perspective of land-resource conditions.更多还原
