【Abstract】 This paper mainly introduces the Electronic Chart Display and Information System,Automatic Identification System and Vessel Traffic System. It also introduces their developing status and relationships of the three systems as well as their functions and characteristics,and especially explains the new concept that the AIS has brought to the monitoring technology at sea,so as to make people have a further knowledge about the important role of the ECDIS,AIS and VTS which will play in the future navigation field.
