【Abstract】 The urban fringe district is an area with the most sensitive economy, society and enironment and the greatest change in land development ways in the urbanization course of China. In this paper,the traits and effect of Chinese urban fringe districts are illuminated,and a detailed discussion is made on the sustainable development guidelines and system structure of Chinese urban fringe districts in the process of urbanization.
