【Abstract】 Active network permit applications to inject programs into the nodes of network,and perform customized computations on user data within the nodes of network. This supports faster service innovation by making iteasier to deploy new network services. Through analyzing the deficiencies of current network architecture in improving QoS control of multimedia data, discuss the advantages of active network and also provide and distinguish two approaches to active networks--discrete and integrated. Especially the case replaces packets with program "capsules"--program fragments that executed at active nodes, make out the applications of active network in improving QoS control of multimedia data.更多还原
