【Abstract】 During the latter half of the year 2001, there were 15 earthquakes of M W≥6 5 occurring in the world, including 13 shallow focus earthquakes, 2 intermediate focus earthquakes; 6 earthquakes of M W≥7 0 occurred in the world. The seismic moment released by the earthquakes of M W≥7 0 in the latter half of the year is of moderate level since 1976. The earthquake of M W≥7 8 occurred in the boundary between Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province of China on November 14, 2001 is the largest one with moment magnitude in the latter half of the year.更多还原
