【Abstract】 A cutting experiment is carried out to investigate the wear performances of cermet cutter and YG8 cutter in cutting chilled cast iron and stainless steel. The results reveal that the tool life span of cermet cutter is much shorter than that of YG8 cutter in cutting chilled cast iron and is longer than that of YG8 cutter in cutting stainless steel. The tipping is the main failure mode of cermet cutter in cutting.更多还原
