双包层塑料光纤放大器热漂白现象的研究
Studies on Thermal Bleaching Phenomenon in Double-cladding Plastic Optical Fiber Amplifiers
【摘要】 对双包层结构如何减小塑料光纤放大器 (POFA)中有机染料的热漂白同时又保持较高的泵浦效率进行了理论分析 ,并用实验证实了结构的可行性。获得的耦合效率为 80 % ;泵浦功率密度为 32 W/cm2 。
【Abstract】 Using double-cladding structure we enhanced the coupling efficiency and power of pump light,greatly decreased power density of pump light in fiber core,naturally suppressed the bleaching phenomenon.The high absorbable power ratio (pump efficiency) can also be kept by means of offset double cladding structure.Both theoretical analysis and experimental result confirm the feasibility and advantage of this structure.The coupling efficiency of 80 % and pump power dencity of 3.2 W/cm 2 were obtained.
