【Abstract】 This paper introduces a new design of Static Var Compensator (SVC) based on Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and Multi computer System. The capacitors are individually switched in or out by means of a valve with (?) connected thyristors. The reactor power is compensated automatically. The relay protection of the system is discussed.
