多硫化钠-溴新型再生燃料电池的研究

【摘要】 研制出多硫化钠 溴新型再生燃料电池 (PS BrRFC) ,电池采用聚丙烯腈碳毡为电极 ,阳离子交换膜为隔膜 ,放电时流入阳极室的硫化钠或低硫的多硫化钠溶液、阴极室的溴溶液分别反应成为高硫的多硫化钠和溴化钠 ,充电时反应逆向进行。系统地研究了膜材料、电池温度、电解液浓度对电池性能的影响。聚丙烯腈碳毡电极对阴极、阳极电极反应具有很高的活性 ,这种新型储能电池放电时比功率达到 0 .3W /cm2 (V =1.0V)。循环性能研究表明 ,电池的充放电性能好 ,性能衰减很小
【Abstract】 A novel sodium polysulfide/bromine regenerative fuel cell (PS Br RFC) with polyarylonitrile graphite felt electrodes was developed. The catholyte and anolyte while separated by a cation exchange membrane. When the RFC is discharging, the sulfide and lower polysulfide compounds are oxidized into corresponding higher polysulfide compounds in the anolyte while the bromine are reduced into bromide in the catholyte respectively. However, when the RFC is charging, the electrochemical reaction process is reversed. Effects of membrane, tem perature and concentration of electrolyte on the performance of RFC were investigated systematically. The results show that the polyarylonitrile graphite felt is a perfectly active material for both the half cell reactions. The power density output of 0.3 W/cm 2 (V=1.0 V) is obtained from this novel energy storage system. The study of cyclic performance show that the RFC maintains good performance during the whole charge/discharge cycles and its performance deterioration is low.
