深循环用阀控铅酸蓄电池的失效机理
Failure mechanism of valve-regulated lead acid battery for deep cycle application
【摘要】 对深循环用阀控铅酸 (VRLA)蓄电池的失效机理进行了研究 ,对同批电池用不同的充电制度进行了寿命试验 ,并对失效电池进行解剖和X射线衍射分析。研究表明 :小电流恒压充电 ,电池失效的模式是负极硫酸盐化和正极活性物质软化 ;用优选充电制度 ,电池失效模式是正极活性物质软化 ,板栅腐蚀相对较少。对电池的失效机理进行了探讨 ,并提出了延长深循环用VRLA电池寿命的措施。
【Abstract】 The failure mechanism of valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) battery for deep cycle application was studied. The cycle life of the batteries produced in the same batch was tested with various charge regimes, and the failed batteries were disassembled and analyzed by X ray diffraction(XRD). The results show that when the battery is charged at low current and constant voltage, its failure mode is the sulphation of negative plate and the softening of positive plate; when the battery is charged with optimized regime, its failure mode is the softening of positive active material while the corrosion grade of grid is low. The methods for extending cycle life of VRLA for deep cycle application is also presented according to the discussion of failure mechanism.
