【Abstract】 Yuanmou Basin, of north Yunnan, consists of the Late Cenozoic sediments with a lot of mammalian fossils, and yields the “Yuanmou man” fossils. According to the available information on geology, dating, fossil and sediments, the Late Cenozoic sediments in the basin are subdivided into the Shagou (N 2), Gantang (Q 1 1) and Yuanmou Formations(Q 2 1) from bottom to top, and their faunas are named Shagou, Gantang and Yuanmou man faunas respectively. The Yuanmou Formation in this paper is limited to the fourth member of the “Yuanmou Formation” called by Qian Fang.更多还原
