【Abstract】 Using Aluminum Nitrate as starting materials, α Al 2O 3 nanoparticles were successfully prepared by combustion synthesis method in addition of combustion assistant agent. Optimal experimental conditions were examined, such as temperature, time and recovery rate. The structure of nanoparticles was analyzed by means of infrared spectroscope, XRD, and TEM. It is shown that nano α Al 2O 3 can not be formed if the temperature was less than 350?℃. The nano Al 2O 3 production recovery ratio is 80%~85% if reaction temperature is controlled at 650?℃~750?℃. The diameter of the spherical particles observed by TEM is 60?nm to 80?nm. Most of nano Al 2O 3 particles are spherical and similar spherical and primary examination indicates them with perfect crystal structure. The optimal temperature for the synthesis is identified being at 650~750?℃.
