【Abstract】 Delineation is given to the newly developed diesel engine of type X4118T, an enlarged-bore version derived fromtype X4115T engine, with elaboration being concentrated on enlarging related redesign of such component parts as cylinderblock, cylinder liner, piston and piston ring pack. An account is also given to the important data determination and perfor-mance test of its prototype.
