通讯窗口稀土(钕和铒)掺杂有源光波导材料的研究进展
Progress in Research on Rare-earth-doped Active Waveguide Materials Operating at Telecommunications Wavelengths
【摘要】 稀土(钕和铒)掺杂有源光波导材料可应用在1.34μm和1.54μm两通讯窗口的光放大。综述了通讯窗口波段的稀土掺杂有源光波导材料的研究现状,阐述了不同基质材料的优缺点。提出了稀土有机配合物作为有源光波导激活物质的新的研究方向,并展望其发展前景。
【Abstract】 Rare-earth-doped active optical waveguide materials have been attracting more and more attentionsince they have good potential as optical amplifiers at 1.34μm and 1.54μm,the standard telecommunications wavelengths.In this paper,the progress in research on the rare-earth-doped active waveguide materials is reviewed briefly.The paper also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the host matrixes of photoactive species.A novel research field has been proposed,in which rare-earth chelates as active substances are added to various matrixes to obtain active optical waveguide materials.It is suggested that the active waveguide materials doped with rare-earth chelates are promising materials for optical amplifiers in the future.
