Application of Turbo Codes to 3G and DSP Implementation
【摘要】 Turbo码以其优越的性能逐渐在通信系统受到人们的重视 ,因此在概述了 Turbo码的编译码算法原理以后 ,针对其在第三代移动通信系统 (3G)中的应用 ,对其迭代译码进行了 DSP定点仿真实现 ,并与Matlab浮点仿真进行了比较 ,在 SNR为 0 .2 d B时 ,误码率已近似为 0 ,已成为 3G中的首选方案
【Abstract】 More and more attention is paid to Turbo codes in IT industry because of their good performance. This paper mainly describes the principles of Turbo coding and decoding and brings them into practice by introducing the 3rd generation mobile communication system (3G). The authors in this paper also simulate the implementation of decoding in DSP and compare the simulation with that of Matlab. Then the authors conclude that when SNR is 0.2 dB, code distortion is almost at 0.Therefore Turbo codes are regarded as the first choice in 3G.
