【Abstract】 In this paper, the development history and status quo of extremely short-tme modeling and predicting of ship motion are introduced,several methods applied in modeling and predicting of this kind are discussed and the disadvantages of their application to ship motion prediction are pointed out respectively,and,of them,the projection pursuit learning technique is stressed.
