【Abstract】 This paper traces Chomsky’s linguistic perspective and its epistemo1ogical basis of rationalism.By ana1yzing the similarities and differences between Chomsky’s linguistic innateness hypothesis andDescartes’ innate theory, this paper points out that the fundamenta1 differences lie in the former’s monisticview based on biogenetics and the latter’s dualistic view based on the separation of human psycho1ogy and thephysical outside world. Therefore, we can discern that Chomsky has advanced certain aspects whileabandoning others of Cartisan innate theory. As a result, we can gain a deeper understanding of Chomsky’slinguistic theory.更多还原
