【Abstract】 A new type of cold bed for heavy rail is described. A prebending device was installed in the front of the cold bed in order to make the heavy rail on-line prebended and cooled. For the design of the cold bed, the motive beam transporting the heavy rail was designed to bear only part of load in each step, thus the whole system was balanced while moving. The above advantages not only reduced the drive power of the cold bed obviously, but also reduced the running cost.更多还原
