【Abstract】 In order to build a good TIN(Triangulation Irregular Network), this paper advances a DTM method of incremental insertion modified by W=dx 1×dy 2-dx 2×dy 1. On the DTM, the point’s altitude of highway mile stakes can be obtained by the inter-insertion with the point’s coordinate. Through longitudinal designing, the whole longitudinal profile design chart can be drawn out. Authors of this paper compile the programs of both building DTM and drawing a longitudinal chart.
