【Abstract】 Xieyou 963 (Xieqingzao A×963) is a newly developed indica hybrid rice combination by the Institute of Crops Research, Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Its restorer line 963 is derived from the cross of 92 7, an early maturity, disease resistant and wide compatibility restorer line, and Wenhui 439, an indica restorer line. Xieyou 963 shows high yielding potential, multi resistance to diseases and insects and acceptable grain quality. It was registered and released to commercial production in Zhejiang in April, 2000. Its breeding procedure, characteristics and major cultural practices and hybrid seed production techniques were introduced in the paper.更多还原
