【摘要】 从国内外经济发展史来看，城市化进程与经济发展一直是相互影响、互为促进的关系。文章认为，加快城市化进程对西部地区经济的发展具有战略性作用。西部地区作为我国经济比较落后的地区，在经济发展的过程中，不能走先工业化再城市化的老路，只能走工业化与城市化协调发展的道路。同时，也应注意到西部地区在推进城市化进程中将遇到诸多困难，除其他地区共有的困难外，西部地区的资金缺口、薄弱的产业基础、市场体系的不健全、人力资本的匮乏、城市之间的距离将制约西部地区城市化的进程。针对这些问题，文章提出了有关对策。更多还原

【Abstract】 From the view of economic development history home and aboard, the process of urbanization and economic development has mutually influenced and promoted. The paper suggests that speeding the process of urbanization has the strategic function to the economic development in the West. The West with relative lagging economy, in the process of economic development, should not choose the road of industrialization in advance and urbanization behind, but choose the road of harmonious development of industrialization and urbanization. At the same time, we also should take notice of many difficulties when we push the process of urbanization in the West. Besides the common difficulties with other areas, the capital gap, weak industry base, imperfect market system, absent human capital and the distant between cities will limit the process of urbanization in the West. Aiming at these problems, the paper proposes interrelated countermeasures.更多还原
