【Abstract】 As the concept of intelligent traffic system (ITS) is advanced, it develops rapidly and is widely applied in traffic area. It greatly and worldwidely promotes the city traffic. In the course of traffic development, safety is always of first importance. Intelligent traffic safety system (ITSS) is an important component of ITS. In this paper, the concept and composition of ITSS, automated event management system, variable information mark system, automated business vehicle system, and its important role in intelligent traffic are studied and discussed.
