【Abstract】 By analyzing the characteristics and application scope of tilting trains, this paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of running this kind of trains in the southwest of China. Then, by financial analysis, it estimates the economic benefits of running the tilting trains in the southwest of China in the years 2005 and 2015. The results show that it is feasible to run the tilting trains in the southwest of China because it can bring considerable economic and social benefits, and that the benefits will be more remarkable if cheaper equipment made in China is adopted.更多还原
