科学仪器的发展与基因组研究
Impacts of Progress in Scientific Instruments on Genome Approach
【摘要】 遗传学是一门年轻的科学 ,但发展迅速 ,到了 2 0世纪末更迎来了可对某种生物的整个基因体系的结构、功能进行研究的基因组时代。遗传学及基因组学的整个研究进程中都得益于科学仪器的相应发展 ,特别是在某些关键阶段 ,例如人类全基因组测序项目之得以顺利展开及即将提前完成 ,就是一个得益于相应科学仪器的发展的良好范例。本文对在基因组及后基因组研究中科学仪器的使用及发展 ,从规模化测序、功能性基因组学、遗传多态性及结构基因组学等方面做了概括的介绍 ,并简要展望了其进一步的发展。
【Abstract】 Genetics is a young branch of biology with impressive progress. By the end of twenty century we have seen the genome era, which overlooks the whole genetic structure and function, was coming. The achievements of genetics and genomics have benefited from the development of scientific instruments, especially at certain key stages of progress. A good example is the project of whole human genome sequencing. It should be no possible to get success without the rapid improvement of DNA sequencer. In this review, we summarized the impacts of the progress in scientific instruments on genome approach, including industry-scale DNA sequencing, functional genomics, polymorphism and structural genomics. A brief prospect was also made.
