【Abstract】 With the rapid development of multi－media communication services people have put forward new requirements for mobile services． The image services in 3G mobile communications are introduced in this paper including an important service——Multimedia Messaging Service （MMS）． Based on that the new demands for image applications and formats that brought about by the development of new services and multi－service networks are analyzed． Finally combined with all these new demands the new ISO／IEC image standard JPEG2000 is introduced in detail．更多还原
