【Abstract】 ： The goal of traffic engineering is to facilitate efficient and reliable network operations while optimizing network resource utilization and traffic performance． Some of the well－known limitations of conventional Internal Gateway Protocol（IGP） with regard to traffic engineering are firstly reviewed in this article． Then the key mechanisms of traffic engineering based on MPLS framework including Overlay Model， Constraint－based Routing and Enhanced Link State IGPs are described in detail． Finally， a principle diagram of MPLS based network traffic engineering is presented as a conclusion．更多还原
