【Abstract】 Studies on deviation has been concentrating on the features of the surface structure of the text without providing any explanations to the reasons of its formation. This essay holds that it is to foreground the ideational meaning, interpersonal meaning and textual meaning that the communicators choose the deviated linguistic models. Therefore, the study to deviation is to be based on the functions. Since any deviation occurs in specific context, its attachment to the context decides that the studies on how the communicators choose the deviated linguistic realizations should take the typical features of registers as ground.更多还原
