【Abstract】 This article indicates the great changes of human settlement environment in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, as well as the opportunities and the challenges in the social economic development after the accomplishment of the Three Gorges Project & the South_to_North Water Transfer project. It also analyzes the essential conditions and key problems for the benefit of the south and north of China, pointing out that the sustainable development of human settlement should be insisted on the combination with water saving, land saving, energy saving and pollution disposal.更多还原
