【Abstract】 With the development of information technology and optical communication, AON (All-Optical Network) has become a mainstream in this information age With OXC and OADM are the core of the AON and all kinds of optical switches are the key parts of them. So it is very important to research on the optical switches used on AON. In this paper, the application of optical switches in AON and the ways to manufacture optical switches are discussed.
