【Abstract】 In practice, ecological knowledge has given more and more valuable guidance on environmental management. Ecological research related to environmental management has become one of the most important contents of ecological research. Available research directed to the needs of environmental management, applied research about the consequences of environmental management, new basic and strategic ecological research and ecological research into the process of environmental management are four major trends of ecological research interacting with environmental decision-making processes.
