【Abstract】 This paper discusses the characteristics of environmental impacts of hydro projects and highlights the role of environmental management and monitoring in construction and operation periods of the project. It is pointed out that emphases should be placed on the contents of environmental management and monitoring, feasibility of environmental protection measures, easiness of implementation of the environmental management and monitoring plan(EMMP), organization and implementation of environmental management and monitoring activities in EMMP prepared in EIA. An example is given for demonstration of the outline, approach and major contents of EMMP.更多还原
