【Abstract】 According to the traditional theory of the state sovereignty, the state sovereignty is nonrestricted, non-negotiated and non-alienated. However, the practice of the European integration has broken through the traditional theory. The alienation of state sovereignty has occurred in the European integration. What’s more, the sovereignty which has been alienated is not only the common sovereignty, but also the important economic sovereignty such as customs and currency and the important sensitive political sovereignty. The alienation of state sovereignty is one of the characteristics. of European integration. It has such features as independence and willingnee of making decisions, mutual transfer and mutual sharing interests, proceeding systematically, democratic restriction, etc. It is these features that make the alienation of state sovereignty possible and sustainable.
