ZnO∶Er薄膜的结构和发光特性研究
Study on the Structure and Luminescent Characterization of ZnO∶Er Thin Films
【摘要】 本文研究了用电子束分蒸技术制备的ZnO∶Er薄膜的结构和发光特性。X射线衍射 (XRD)谱表明 ,六角晶体结构的ZnO∶Er薄膜具有强的择优c轴取向 (0 0 2 )。在室温下 ,用阴极射线激发样品 ,观测到强的蓝光 (45 5nm)发射。本文认为 ,蓝光发射是ZnO∶Er薄膜中铒离子 (Er3 + )的激发态4 F5/2 到基态4 I15/2 的辐射跃迁。研究薄膜的阴极射线发光强度与电子束流的关系时发现 ,蓝光发射强度强烈地依赖于电子束流的大小。此外 ,超过阈值电子束流 0 .6 μA ,蓝光发射强度首先迅速增加 ,然后缓慢地增加 ,趋于饱和 ,根据瓶颈效应和稀土发光理论很好地解释了这一实验结果
【Abstract】 ZnO∶Er thin films were prepared by combination evaporation method.The structure and luminescent characters for ZnO∶Er thin films were investigated.X ray diffraction (XRD) spectra of ZnO∶Er thin films exhibited the strong c axis orientation (002) with a hexagonal crystalline structure.The strong blue cathodoluminescence (455nm) from the ZnO∶Er thin film,which originated from the intra 4 f shell transition ( 4 F 5/2- 4 I 15/2) of the Er 3+ ions in ZnO∶Er thin films,was observed at room temperature.The blue cathodoluminescence (455nm) is studied under the different electron beam current excitation conditions at the anode voltage of 10keV.The results show that the intensity of the blue light emission strongly depended on electron beam current.Afterwards,when the electron beam current exceeded the threshold current ( I th) of 0.6μA,the intensity of the blue light emission rapidly increased at first and then slowly saturated.These can be well explained in terms of phonon bottleneck effect and the basic luminescence theory for the rare earth.
