【Abstract】 眎s pronounced ｜ji:｜.Originally the character was a verb.Viewed from its primitive shape,“以”resembles a by-standing person,with something round hanging off his arm,like a person offering something to someone else.So in ancient Chinese Jia Gu Wen (inscriptions on tortoise shells of Shang Dynasty during 16th-11th century B.C.),“以” meant“pay tribute to”,and “use”,“do”as well.Later,and now,it evolves to be a preposition or conjunction.更多还原
