【Abstract】 s: A teachers behavior in the teaching activity is governed by value judgment of teacher roles. Metaphors for teachers in the educational history such as designers, sculptors, midwives, gardeners display different understandings of education and teacher roles. Postmodernism believes that the relationship between teachers and students is not that between hosts and guests, but that of equality and symbiosis.
