【Abstract】 Newcastle disease virus (NDV) strains were isolated from different chicken flocks in Henan Province in 2000. The biological experiment data revealed the virus strains were NDV by hemagglutination assay test and hemagglutination inhibition test. The mean death time (MDT) of chick embryos were 51.8h and 53.2h, respectively; intracerabral pathogenicity index (ICPI) in 1-day-old chicks were 1.65 and 1.63, respectively; intravenous pathogenicity index (IVPI) in 6-week-old chickens were 2.28 and 2.11, respectively.
