【Abstract】 For medium-carbon steel (called as crack sensitive steel), some defects such as longitudinal cracks easily occur on strand surface during casting. The heat transfer conditions in initial shells in mould can be improved and the surface cracks can be controlled by using good workability powders. This paper introduces the processes of development of mould podwer for medium-carbon steel in No.3 Steelmaking Plant of WISCO and the effects of crack control. The behavior of mould powder and the microstructure of slag film are also analyzed in this paper.更多还原
