【Abstract】 This paper briefly overviews the history of converter steelmaking technology and discusses some important steelmaking technologies in detail, including hot metal pretreatment, basic converter operation processes & steel quality, computer control for steelmaking, combined top and bottom blowing process, slag splashing and combined blowing with long campaign, converter steelmaking with energy saving or minus energy consumption.
