【Abstract】 A referential model to develop remote monitoring system for urban pumping stations has been proposed. This will be helpful to implement centralized monitoring and control on the operation of pumping stations, especially for these stations with dated equipment and low automation and message levels in this country. The structure configuration, the development consideration, the objects and arrangements of field control, the design of control center, the communication between central host to substations and design instruments and software for urban pumping remote control system are described in detail.
