【Abstract】 A review of the history of facility layout design has been presented. Now, with the change of mode of production in manufacturing industry, the existing problems of traditional layout design have been specially analyzed. Based on these problems and the research in this field in recent years, the developing tendency of facility layout design has been proposed.
