【Abstract】 The current prosperity of Internet multicast applications has been coming up under the push by the development of multicast technology and the pull by user requirements. The key issue on the scalability of reliable multicast protocols based on the retransmission error control mechanism is the reduction of control packets and retransmitted data packets. In this paper we discuss the key issues and introduce NAK-Election algorithm and NAK-Absorption. Algorithm respectively as the solution, to the problems. We thereby devise a reliable multicast protocol : RMTP- The RMTP , implemented under our NAK-Election and NAK-Absorption algorithms,exhibits a greatly enhanced scalable property as a result of the test shown in the last part of the paper.更多还原
