【Abstract】 ： The UML（Unified Modeling Language）is gradually becoming the dominant OO modeling language，while the development of component technology has made it feasible to build applications by assembling the off－the－shell components．These two，with no doubt，are going to be the mainstream of software development technologies in the near future．This paper describes the UML and component technologies，discusses their effects on software development and the relationship between them，and furthermore，puts forward some ideas on how to support UML and component technologies in the new generation of software development environments．Then it focuses on describing the design and implementation of IUMLSE，a UML－based and component－based software development environment．更多还原
