Cr,Yb∶YAG微片的自调Q激光特性
Performance of Cr, Yb∶YAG Self-Q-switched Laser
【摘要】 用连续钛宝石激光器作为抽运源 ,在室温下实现了Cr ,Yb∶YAG晶体的自调 Q 激光输出。实验过程中 ,获得了在 1 0 3μm平均功率为 35mW和脉宽 (FWHM )为 0 4μs的自调 Q激光。实验表明Cr,Yb∶YAG晶体确实把Cr4 +离子的可饱和吸收特性和Yb3 +的激光增益特性结合到了一起 ,实现了自调Q激光输出 ,使Cr,Yb∶YAG晶体成为一种新型的全固化自调Q激光晶体。
【Abstract】 Using cw Ti∶sapphire laser as pumping source, the self Q switched Cr,Yb∶YAG laser has been demonstrated at room temperature. An average output power as much as 35 mW at 1 03 μm with a pulse width (FWHM) as short as 0 4 μs was abtained. The laser experiment demonstrated that the Cr, Yb∶YAG crystal exactly combines the Cr 4+ saturable absorber and Yb 3+ gain medium into one. And Cr, Yb∶YAG crystal can be a most promising self Q switched laser crystal for compact, efficient solid state lasers.
