【Abstract】 This paper holds that Confucius had,in his thought of music,not only asserted the rationality of satisfying the inner mental needs of individuals but also stressed the necessity of constraining the mental demands of individals through social moral norms.Besides,the paper points out that the ideal of Confuciccs’s aesthetics was "gentility" and "consummation" and that his aesthetic criteria consisted in "thought beyond obscene elements,joyous rather than lascivious,grieved rather than depressed.更多还原
