【Abstract】 Greco-Roman mythology has a profound influence on western culture, esp. on literature and art, even on people’s daily lives. This article lays emphasis on some popularized deities’ names and allusions originating from Greco-Roman mythology and intends to give a brief introduction to the influence of Greco-Roman mythology on English words , expressions and western literature by means of illustration. In this paper, both the expressions and allusions chosen by the author are popular and well-known so as to show the permeation of myth into people’s lives. Accordingly, the eternal and unique charm of Greco-Roman mythdogy could be felt in lines without mentioning.更多还原
