【Abstract】 Facing the current depressed power market and acute peck load requirements, after comprehensively analyzing existing problems of domestic manufactured 670 t/h anthracite boilers of not being able to meet peaking, requirements of the network, the paper suggests a package of retrofitting measures to raise the boilers peaking capability, ensure stable combustion at low load and economize oil, explains the louver type horizontal dense sparse pulverized coal burner’s mechanism of combustion stabilization and describes operational conditions before and after the retrofit and the results of the evaluation test and those of fuel economizing.
