【Abstract】 A novel software-only video codec is presented in this paper.By using modified block truncation coding and motion compensation technique based on one-step predictive motion estimation,the proposed codec can compress real-time videophone pictures below the bit-rate of 100 kbps on current PC.Compared to other similar algorithms,the presentation has substantially improved performance in bit-rate and PSNR at the premise of keeping the real-time property.更多还原
